If the VWV Group of Companies CEO’s words are anything to go by, then Botswana will tonight have the continent, if not the world, eating from the palm of her hand eyeing what the official opening has in store.

The CEO Terry Behan took the media on a ‘behind the scenes’ walk through what the opening ceremony will be like at the National Stadium where they had the privilege of appreciating the snapshots of the lineup.

Behan said they would showcase a unique ceremony that depicts what Botswana is all about, which will be performed by 500 cast members.

The VWV Company has in the past produced magnificent ceremonies across the continent such as the 2010 World Cup and AFCON in South Africa.

Giving a teaser of the lineup, he said after the President’s arrival the national anthem would follow, then the BDF fly by and speeches from BAYGOC and ANOCA.

Afterwards, he said the performance would start as the audience would indulge in artistic side of the ceremony, blending dance, music, storytelling, which encompasses history, and a display of giants and puppets.

Artistes on the line up are local musicians Maxy, Vee, Zeus, Mphato traditional dance troupe, which consists of 150 dancers and KTM choir
