| April 13, 2015

The Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources says 43 people in Sehithwa and surrounding villages have paid for water connections but still to be connected.

Answering a question in Parliament on behalf of the Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Nonofo Molefhi said there were six pending connections, that were subject to police investigations due to fraud suspicion.

He said delays in effecting connections was due to limited resources to match water applications, adding that resources have been availed for this financial year to address the backlog.

MP for Ngami, Mr Thato Kwerepe had asked the minister if he was aware that there were people in Sehithwa and surrounding villages who paid for water connections since last year but still have not been connected, if so, when would they be assisted.
