Battle for Top Eight Spot Continues

| May 8, 2015

Battle to secure a place in the top eight of the be Mobile Premier League continues this weekend.

On Saturday (May 9), Sankoyo Bush Bucks will lock horns with BMC in Maun at 3:30pm.

Sankoyo Bush Bucks, who have been on a fluctuating performance, redeemed themselves over the weekend by defeating Ecco city Greens by one-nil. Therefore Ezinkomo should expect baptism of fire in Maun. Sankoyo would like to end this season on a high note and be in the top eight as it was their first time to play in the premier league.

Sankoyo would also like to claim the scalp of Ezinkomo for the second time as they did in the first round by hammering them two goals to one.

On one hand, BMC who were held by BR Highlanders to a two-all draw over the weekend, had not been showing consistency in the last three games and would aim high to pull up their socks when they meet Sankoyo Bush Bucks.

Should Ezinkomo win, they would move to position eight and Sankoyo will move down to position nine. This will be a sweet revenge after they succumbed to Sankoyo in the first round. With 29 points, BMC are in position nine from 28 games.

In another game to be played Saturday in Serowe at 7 pm, Township Rollers will tackle FC Satmos. Rollers would aim to secure maximum points against Satmos to close between them and second placed Orapa United.

If Mapalastina emerge victorious and Orapa lose against BR Highlanders, Rollers could be a point below Orapa and will remain in position three with 56 points from 29 games.

They are in position 14 with 26 points from 28 games with two games remaining. On Friday (May 8) BR Highlanders will host Orapa United at Serowe Sports Complex at 7pm while BDF XI will battle it out with Nico United at SSKB Stadium at 3:30pm on Saturday.

Letlapeng will visit Ecco City Greens at Molepolole Sports Complex at 3:30 pm while Motlakase Power Dynamos host Notwane at Serowe Sports Complex at 3pm.

On Sunday, Extension Gunners will battle it out with Police XI in Molepolole at 3:30pm.
