Clusters Help Fulfil Teachers Mandate

Teachers have been called upon to take aantage of teacher clusters to fulfill their obligation, objectives and mandate to drive change in the education sector.

Speaking during the celebration of Teachers Day recently, the chief industrial relations officer in the Ministry of Education and Skills Development Mr Kwante Kwante applauded Molema cluster group for the good work they displaced and encouraged teachers to work hand in hand with the community in that area.

Molema cluster group is a union formed by Mokgalo junior secondary school teachers as well as Lecheng as well as Malaka Primary school in the Letswapo north region. Mr. Kwante said there is no school that could progress without the support of others.

Mr. Kwante urged teachers work together and continue with the good work of Molema Cluster group and that the s ministry welcome the formation of the cluster group in order for teachers share ideas on how best to administer their schools.

He said through cluster groups, teachers would be able to identify talent and skills of students and help them nurture it from primary school level and that some students and pupils could use their talent and skills for a living.

He said the government buys artifacts from Batswana for decoration in offices as a way of encouraging them to make a living out of them. He urged teachers to cooperate with the community as they were partners in the teaching sector.
