Ezra and Ezra Construction Donates Blankets

Some companies and individuals have gone out to assist the less priviledged members of the society with blankets.

Ezra amp Ezra construction is one such company, which donated 47 blankets to the elderly in Rakhuna joining others which did the same in the past.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony recently, the managing director of Ezra amp Ezra construction who is also the secretary general for Charity Association of Chinese in Botswana, Mr Hungru Mu said his company was happy to donate blankets and food to the needy citizens especially in communities that they operate in.

He said the blankets would keep them warm and help them to survive the coming winter.Mr Mu said the company had donated to several organisations and citizens before and intended to continue with that spirit of giving back to the communities, funds permitting.

On other issues, he urged fellow business operators to collaborate and create more job opportunities for the locals and also join hands in the fight against HIVAIDS.When giving the objectives of the day, General Manager of the company Ms Madiha Iqbal said there was an on-going project at Rakhuna military camp where the company has been engaged to construct some houses.

She said most locals were engaged to gain skills so that in future they stand for themselves.

Established in 1999, the company has in past donated P30 000 for Mogoditshane clinic renovation, 50 blankets to Lady Khama Trust, food to SOS village and Selokolela residents.Earlier in his welcome remarks, Kgosi Ephraim Mmila expressed gratitude to Ezra amp Ezra Construction for the noble gesture of remembering the elderly.

He pleaded with the elderly to take a good care of the blankets.For his part, Councillor Aaron Mothibi lauded the construction company for living the Vision 2016 of building a “compassionate and caring nation”.

He also appealed to all stakeholders and citizens to marshal their best energies and resources towards the realisation of Vision 2016 goals.
