MP for SefhareRamokgonami constituency, Ms Dorcas Makgato has assured residents that the stalling construction of a technical college at Chadibe would soon be resolved.

Ms Makgato said this when giving feedback on the issue, during a kgotla meeting she addressed recently.

Technical officers, she noted, were already on the ground to consult constituents to map the way forward.

She said the building of the college would not only benefit residents of Chadibe, but Botswana as a whole and remained optimistic that the issue would be concluded positively.

On other matters, Ms Makgato informed residents that parliament had taken a decision to transform CEDA Young Farmers Fund into a youth entrepreneurship fund in order to broaden its scope.

She said parliament also passed a motion which asked the Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture to set up a task force to investigate reports of corruption and maladministration at Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC).

Ms Makgato, who is also the Minister of Health, said she has taken a decision to engage all stakeholders to map the way forward on how to efficiently develop her constituency.

She also promised to intensify engagements with the business community by organising entrepreneurial workshops for both existing and upcoming businesses.
