Olopeng Attends Anti-Doping Meeting

Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture (MYSC), Thapelo Olopeng, left for Montreal, Canada, yesterday (May 11) to attend the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Foundation board meeting.

A press release from MYSC stated that the minister was accompanied by MYSC policy specialist with sports and recreation, Falcon Sedimo.

The meeting would focusing on, among other things, protection of clean athletes, budget for next year and the WADA regional report. Minister Olopeng is one of the three members of WADA Foundation Board responsible for Africa.

The other members are from Ethiopia and Gabon. The minister and his entourage are expected to return on May 16.
