Print Company Adopts School

Proper Print and Graphics Company donated a television, decoder and a digital camera to the Francistown Centre for Deaf Education (FCDE).

The company also cleared the soccer, netball and volleyball grounds, bearing in mind that they are meant to enhance physical activity and play a vital role in a person’s wellbeing.

The donation was made under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development Adopt-a-School initiative.

Speaking at the ceremony on Friday June 12, the owner of the company, Mr Mokganedi Makgoeng said the mandate of the company is not only to make profit but to also play a significant role in social responsibility in alignment with the Vision 2016 pillar of a compassionate , just and caring nation.

He noted that the company felt the urge to be part of the initiative and collaborate with FCDE for a period of one year in strengthening and enhancing the students’ education.

Mr Makgoeng said because Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is essential for mileage, they found it vital to donate the equipment.

Furthermore, the company also pledged to support the school financially during their prize giving ceremonies.

For her part, FCDE head, Ms Chandabona Chida said she appreciated the gifts and the overwhelming support the school continued to be given, adding that the school still faced many challenges.

The Botswana Education Hub (BEH) representative, Ms Precious Kenosi commended the company for the gesture.

She thanked the company for assisting the school even on extra-curricular activities such as clearing the grounds.
