Major Moves Entertainment ensures that it always has something for local stand-up comedy enthusiasts by hosting a series of comedy shows.

So far, Major Moves has kept its customers up to expectation by staging one or two shows every month since the beginning of the year.

This Saturday (June 6), Boipuso hall will be a place of non-stop laughter as Major Moves will be having a show dubbed Strictly Coming Laughing. The show will feature Botswana’s renowned comics in Phenyo, The Master, Oefile ‘Mawee’ Mokgware and Bafana ‘Ribcraker’ Letsatsi.

Strictly Come Laughing will be headlined by South Africa’s Kagiso Lediga, David Kibuuka and Tats Nkonzo. As for Kagiso Lediga, he is well known on the local stand-up comedy circuit, having performed in South Africa and abroad regularly since 1998.

He once took the stage at the biggest comedy festival in the world, The Edinburgh Comedy Festival and has also performed in New York, Toronto, London and Mauritius.

His counterpart, David Kibuuka, is a Ugandan-born South African comedian best known as a field correspondent on the e.tv and eNews satirical news show Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola, since 2010.

David has a unique brand of humour that combines wit and intellect without losing touch with his audiences. He broke into the comedy world after winning 5FM’s Freshest Five nationwide comedy talent search competition and since then, he has not looked back.

Tats Nkonzo, also a South African standup comedian, best known as the host of the e.tv reality competition ‘SA’s Got Talent,’ got his big break when he made the Top 8 of the SABC1 reality competition ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ in 2008.
