Ibadan: Sen. Sharafadeen Alli (APC- Oyo South) and Sen. Teslim Folarin have congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, on his 90th birthday and first coronation anniversary. Alli, who holds the title of Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, highlighted the peaceful and impactful nature of the Olubadan’s reign, describing it as a significant blessing to the community.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Alli praised the Olubadan for assuming the throne at a crucial time when Ibadanland required a wise and experienced leader to guide its traditional institution towards progress. He acknowledged the monarch’s dedication to preserving Ibadan’s customs and values, as well as his support for development and harmony throughout the region. Alli also expressed his prayers for the Olubadan to have sound health, wisdom, and many more years on the throne, wishing him a joyful celebration.
Similarly, Sen. Teslim Folarin, a former Senate Leader and Aare Alaasa of Ibadanland, extended his congratulations to the Olubadan. He noted the significance of reaching 90 years of age and expressed gratitude for the gift of life. Folarin conveyed his certainty that the Olubadan’s heart is filled with joy as he reflects on his life’s achievements.
