Botlhapatlou Village Development Committee (VDC) chairperson, Mr Keimetswe Keolopile is worried by defaulting tenants.
In an interview recently, Mr Keolopile said their committee was keen to electrify VDC houses and as such their efforts were hampered by those who did not pay rent. He said VDC rented tents and chairs donated by President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama.
He further said they also sold bricks to the residents and hired labourers to mould those bricks. Mr Keolopile said LIMID and Youth Development Fund were progressing well, adding that they were doing some major projects like debushing Botlhapatlou-Mantshwabisi road and the de-silting of dams.
He said there was need to connect electricity at Botlhapatlou kgotla and the construction of classrooms at Botlhapatlou Primary School as some classrooms were dilapidated.
