Botswana: Rugby Team Readies for Tunisia

Gaborone - Botswana rugby B team, which is a feeder for the senior national team, left the country midweek for a friendly test match against Lesotho in Maseru.

Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) secretary Ernest Mantsi noted that the match billed for tomorrow, will be played at the Bambatha Tsita Sports Arena at 3pm.

Mantsi explained through a statement on Wednesday that the match will provide practice for the Vultures ahead of the Africa Cup Division 1B tournament to be held towards the end of June in Tunisia.

The last encounter between Botswana and Lesotho, also a test friendly match, ended with the Vultures winning 43-3 in Gaborone two years ago. The Botswana team is coached by Sean Irish and Seabe Gabatladiwe who assists him.

The team comprises of 18 players in the persons of Ernest Eddie, Damelin Motlogelwa, Oarabile Chiche, Kagiso Molefhi, Keorapetse Lesotlho, Omphile Debula, Ketshedile Matenanga, Hebert Nkonjera, Osi Kopano, Rambo Masalila, Molibi Maphanyane, Ishmael Pelaelo, Onkabetse Mosalagae, Katlego Mohutsiwa, Kagiso Setabo, Gape Malesu, George Batsalelwang and Kitso Maduo.
