Chosen Generation Group visited SOS Tlokweng Village children to give them love and word of hope over the weekend.
Speaking in an interview, leader of Chosen Generation Group Ms Tshegofatso Kgosintwa said they saw it fit to visit and spend the whole day with the children and staff members of SOS Village to empower the children with life skills.
She said the great initiative came by her and her colleague Ms Amantle Kgosidintsi as God placed in their hearts to reach out to the people and they decided to come from Molepolole together with their group to visit the children.
Ms Kgosintwa noted that Chosen Generation Group is a group made up of youth from different denominations who love the Lord and joined hands together with one goal of reaching out to the less privileged and all those who need help and support.
She said they believe they have been empowered to be leaders in this nation and help in achieving the Vision 2016 pillars through making it to pass by the pillar of a compassionate and caring nation.
Ms Kgosintwa said even though their group is still less than a month old they have great things planned to reach out to the nation as they have realised there is a need in many people’s life’s, adding that such visit marks the beginning of greater things to come.
She said there are Vision 2016 goals which should be achieved next year and such can happen if all the people take part in helping to achieve them to build a better Botswana and take the country forward, adding that as a visionary group of young people they saw it fit to visit the children to share with them life skills as some of them will be future leaders, business men and women of tomorrow hence the kids should never be forgotten.
She said they visited the centre to empower the kids with knowledge, to show them love, to share the word of God with them that God loves them and to tell them how great, unique and capable they are of doing what others can do.
Ms Kgosintwa said it is a wake- up call for all Christians and youth of this nation as Botswana thirst to see people reach out to others in different ways and stand up to do something for the next person as sharing is caring, adding that they are planting a seed and as one generation plants the seed the next one harvest and receive and take the barton to the next level.
She noted that Chosen Generation Group is made up of members who are mostly at tertiary schools and they didn’t receive any support of money from elsewhere but rather they contributed money from their monthly leaving allowance in order to buy all the food they are cooking for the kids.
She urged other youth to be positive leaders of the nation by helping those in need. From Youth for Christ Botswana (The Unashamed Movement) Kabo Katse known as Mokeresete in Gospel rap and Cygnas Kelentse entertained the children with gospel rap
