ETHIOPIAN DEPUTY PM CALLS FOR STRENGTHENING OF ETHIOPIA-BOTSWANA RELATIONS

ADDIS ABABA, Jan 14 — Ethiopia and Botswana should strengthen bilateral relations through exchanging experiences, says Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonen.

He added during discussions held here Tuesday with the visiting Botswana Vice-President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, that the two countries should share their experiences in areas such as education, technology transformation and livestock development in order to strengthen ties.

As Botswana is one of the successful countries in Africa, Ethiopia has to share its good experiences which are suitable to the objective reality of the country from Botswana and and consolidate the bonds between the two countries, he added.

Vice-President Masisi said his country wanted to work with Ethiopia in the spheres of education, industry, culture, leather and leather products as well as agriculture and telecommunications.
