Enugu: The Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Kiara Consortium, Mr. Endi Ezengwa, has lauded Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for his efforts in promoting technical education across the country. He extended his commendation to the governor for the significant transformation and equipping of the Government Technical College (GTC), Enugu, aimed at equipping youths with industry-relevant skills.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ezengwa spoke on behalf of the Chairman of Innoson Kiara Consortium, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, and expressed his appreciation while speaking with the agency in Enugu. The report highlights that Governor Mbah demolished the old GTC and established a Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College, featuring twenty-four ultra-modern skill training centers and extensive accommodations for 1,000 resident students.
The newly established college was among the projects inaugurated by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, during her two-day visit to Enugu. Ezengwa remarked on the governor’s achievements in infrastructure and other essential sectors, emphasizing that the college will equip youths with the skills necessary for sustaining the governor’s investment initiatives.
Ezengwa further stated, “So, in furtherance of our commitment to technical and vocational education in Nigeria, especially in support of Mr. President’s TVET agenda across the country, we are also very pleased to work with Enugu State.” He expressed their satisfaction with the performance of the State Technical Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB) and conveyed eagerness to collaborate with them in the future.
