Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry, Advocate Sadique Kebonang has toured projects funded by the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) in Palapye to appreciate their achievements and challenges.
In his tour, he met Mr Khumo Kanjabanga of Haas Sports Wear Manufacturers who told him his business was doing well despite challenges. Mr Kanjabanga said he was making quality sportswear, but the market was small.
He said he has employed five people in the business, but was unable to meet the demand at times. Mr Kanjabanga gave credit to CEDA for giving him support, adding that he was paying back the loan well.
Advocate Kebonang, who is also the MP for Lobatse, advised him to market his products in schools, sporting teams as well as mines and constituency league teams. The assistant minister said for them to remain in the market, they should up their standards and continue producing quality products.
He also urged him to purchase a computer and fax machine to enable him to receive orders on time, adding that if he had no funds, he should ask for assistance from CEDA.
Advocate Kebonang also toured the Steel Pipe Manufacturing project and CK Bakery, which were also funded by CEDA
