Khama Hosts Zuma

President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama will today, November 20, host his South African counterpart, Mr Jacob Zuma in the second session of the Bi-National Commission (BNC).

BNC is an annual summit level meeting established through an agreement in in August 2012.

A press release from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stated that the BNC was a high level bilateral platform aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries for the mutual benefit of the people of Botswana and South Africa.

The agenda of the BNC covered a wide range of issues of human development across the political, economic, social, defence and security sectors as well as regional and international matters of common interest.

The summit meeting was preceded by the ministerial meeting on November 19 and the senior officials meeting on November 17-18.
