Letlapeng sail over Lesirane

| September 28, 2015

Two goals from Johana Mokaedi handed Letlapeng a 2-0 victory against Lesirane City in the Debswana First Division South match played at Siga Ground over the weekend.

Mokaedi banged in a goal in the 12th minute and added another in the 67th minute to redeem Letlapeng who were shocked by Mochudi Rovers a week ago. The match produced two red cards with Lesirane’s Mmoloki Kebalipile given marching orders in the early minutes, while Letlapeng’s Kago Kwena was sent off in the second half.

Letlapeng are early contenders for automatic promotion to the elite league although coach Enos Mmesi has maintained that it was too early to think about promotion.

“The management has given me a two year mandate to build a team for the next season,” Mmesi said after the match.

Mmesi said the team had not yet jelled together adding that they will continue to improve in each game.

Lesirane assistant coach, Killer Mogorosi said their plan was disrupted by the early sending off. He also lamented that his strikers were not aggressive.

Meanwhile, Prisons XI edged Rolling Boys 1-0 in a match played at SSG Ground on Saturday. In other matches Notwane earned their first win of the season by beating Modipane United 1-0, Mochudi Rovers defeated Black Rangers 1-0, Santos held Black Forest to a 2-2 draw, while Mogoditshane Fighters edged Sharps 2-1.
