Minister Aware of Samochima School Problems

The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso has told Parliament that she is aware of the shortage of facilities, including teachers’ accommodation at Samochima Primary School in the Okavango constituency.

Ms Tshireletso stated that the school was a seven-stream school, which has four classrooms, four teachers’ houses and eight toilets.

She said the shortfall of three classrooms and four teachers’ houses was a priority project for the North West District Council and had been proposed for construction in the backlog eradication programme which will be funded in the coming 201516 financial year.

MP for Okavango Mr Bagalatia Arone had asked the minister if she was aware of the shortage of learning and teacher accommodation at Samochima Primary School in the Okavango constituency and about the measures to be taken to address the situation.
