Ministries to Hold Combined Graduation (allAfrica.com)

The Ministry of Health (MoH) together with the Ministry of Education Skills and Development (MoESD) will host the fifth combined graduation ceremony of the University of Botswana affiliated institutions at the university stadium on Friday September 17.

A press release from the MoESD states that the ceremony will be held under the theme: Tertiary education transformation in Botswana: Key to global competitiveness.

The release states that the ceremony will bring together graduates of institutes of health sciences, school of nursing, colleges of education and Botswana College of Engineering and Technology.

The release says the two ministries, through the combined graduation, hope to achieve three of the Vision 2016 pillars of an educated and informed nation, a safe and secure nation, and an innovative and productive nation.

It states that the graduates will be awarded diplomas in midwifery, psychiatric nursing and family nurse practitioner and higher diploma in general nursing, dental therapy, medical lab technology and pharmacy technology

Furthermore, it states that diplomas in primary education and secondary education will be awarded as well as diplomas in building and electrical engineering, geometrics, water and environmental engineering, electrical and electronic engineering and mechanical engineering.

The Minister of Health, Ms Dorcas Makgatho will officiate at the event.
