Mr and Ms Public Service 2014 have adopted and joined hands with Motse wa Tsholofelo Day Care Centre in Maun.

As the public service ambassadors, Mr and Miss Public Service are expected to undertake projects that will bring a positive change in Public Service delivery.

Speaking at the graduation and Christmas party at the centre recently, Miss Public Service, Segolame Tlotlo said as Public Service Ambassadors they have also taken the responsibility to engage in community service projects.

She further said they have goals to accomplish during their reign to enhance self-esteem, dignity amongst Batswana, improve livelihood of many, and solicit sponsorships and donations on behalf of the identified needy and vulnerable individuals.

Tlotlo said the centre is an orphanage that provides care and support to orphans and other vulnerable children aged between 2-5 years. She said they decided to adopt and join hands with the centre to assist them by requesting for donations and pledges that will sustain the daily operations of the centre.

They also intend to interact with the children on a regular basis to enhance their physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual developments at least once every two months.

Tlotlo said they have adopted the centre for a period of two years, in which they will help the centre with administration activities, pre-primary school nutritional feeding, and transportation of pre-scholars to and from school, vehicle maintenance and monitoring and evaluation of the centre.
