NAHCON Attributes 2025 Hajj Successes to Teamwork by Stakeholders

Makkah: The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has attributed the successes recorded in the 2025 Hajj operation to teamwork, hard work, and dedication by all stakeholders. The Chairman of NAHCON, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, emphasized this at the Post-Arafat Stakeholders’ Meeting in Makkah, expressing gratitude for the collaborative efforts that led to a successful Hajj.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Usman extended his thanks to all stakeholders for their relentless efforts, stating, “We recorded so many successes this year, and these were possible because of your teamwork, hard work, and dedication.” He expressed his deep appreciation and prayed for abundant rewards for all involved. Usman also announced that the return airlift of pilgrims would commence on June 13, with hopes to complete it within three weeks.

During the meeting, Mr. Aliyu Abdulrasaq, NAHCON Commissioner of Policy, Personnel and Finance, highlighted the importance of planning ahead for the 2026 Hajj to address challenges related to visa, accommodation, and logistics. Abdulrasaq stressed the necessity of adhering to timelines set by the Saudi Authority and mentioned the need to address Business Travel Account (BTA), cash, and card issues.

Prof. Abdulrasak Alaro, representing the NAHCON Ulama Team, praised the smooth operation of the 2025 Hajj. Alaro reported that the Ulama team engaged in activities promoting the slogan “Hajj and positive change,” providing pilgrims with awareness and personal guidance. Innovative approaches such as multilingual guidance flags and a two-page instructional magazine for pilgrims were also introduced to enhance the Hajj experience.

The NAHCON Ulama team further contributed by disseminating messages from Nigerian scholars, offering daily inspiration and guidance to pilgrims. These efforts were part of a broader media activity aimed at enriching the spiritual journey of the participants.
