Suleja: Mr Segun Showunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has commended President Bola Tinubu for his work on infrastructure development while advising against baseless criticism of the administration. Showunmi shared his views in Suleja, Niger State, during a joint inspection of the Suleja-Minna Road alongside the Minister of Works, David Umahi.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the inspection team also included the Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Sen. Onyekachi Nwaebonyi. Showunmi, who previously served as the spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar during the 2019 presidential campaign, expressed his satisfaction with the current administration’s focus on road infrastructure.
Showunmi acknowledged the importance of road developments and praised President Tinubu for visible progress. Despite being part of the opposition, he expressed a willingness to recognize good works and urged for more such developments. He also raised questions about various road projects and received positive feedback regarding their progress.
Umahi commended Showunmi for his approach, labeling it as constructive opposition.
