PEBEC to Launch Nationwide Tour for Business Reforms

Abuja: The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) has announced plans to embark on a nationwide sensitisation tour starting June 23, with the aim of promoting reforms to ease business operations across Nigeria. Zahrah Mustapha-Audu, the Director-General of PEBEC, revealed this initiative in a statement on Wednesday, highlighting the tour’s focus on fostering a more conducive business environment that attracts investment and drives economic growth.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the tour will feature technical sessions and town halls, providing a platform for stakeholders to engage with government officials. This engagement is designed to allow businesses, investors, and the public to share experiences, voice concerns, and propose solutions to challenges that hinder business growth. PEBEC’s efforts are centered on making business operations in Nigeria easier, more transparent, and less bureaucratic through impactful reforms.

The initiative is part of PEBEC’s broader strategy to improve the ease of doing business at the subnational level. This will involve collaboration with state governments, the private sector, and international partners to dismantle bureaucratic and legislative constraints. PEBEC, which was established in July 2016 by the Federal Government, is tasked with overseeing these business environment interventions and delivering comprehensive reforms to enhance Nigeria’s business landscape.
