Reforms: Be Patient with Tinubu’s Govt, Group Urges Nigerians

Abuja: The BAT Movement, an advocacy group for President Bola Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to be patient with his administration as it implements economic reforms addressing the country’s challenges effectively. Chief Biodun Ajiboye, founder of the group, made the call in Abuja at a Stakeholders Summit on Second Year Assessment of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ajiboye emphasized that the president clearly understands what Nigerians are going through and is working tirelessly towards implementing reforms that will make life better for all in the long run. Ajiboye, who is the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), said the president and his cabinet were working towards restoring the lost glory of Nigeria through initiatives propelled by the Renewed Hope mantra.

Ajiboye stated that it is necessary to acknowledge the challenging journey so far, as the task of nation-building is a collective responsibility. He noted that despite the difficulties, the reforms are essential steps towards achieving a greater Nigeria that benefits everyone. He urged citizens to exercise patience with the current administration as it pursues policies to build a resilient and diversified economy.

He further noted that addressing the root causes of problems demonstrates a genuine intention to solve them. Ajiboye praised President Tinubu’s sincere approach and courage in prioritizing the future over present comforts.

Moreover, Ajiboye encouraged Nigerians to ignore detractors and opposition elements seeking to undermine the government for political gain in 2027. He highlighted the ongoing infrastructural improvements by the Federal Government as evidence of the administration’s commitment to the citizens’ welfare.

Ajiboye acknowledged that decisions such as subsidy removal, the floating of the Naira, and tax reforms might seem challenging but are crucial for revitalizing and strengthening the Nigerian economy in the long term. He described President Tinubu as a transformational leader focused on achieving set goals.

Ali Dalori, Acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), praised the BAT Movement for organizing the summit. He viewed the event as an opportunity to reflect on the Tinubu administration’s achievements over the past two years. Dalori emphasized the importance of continued support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and recognized the positive impact of his leadership on the party’s growth.

The event gathered representatives from various support groups for President Tinubu, members of the diplomatic community, and top government officials, including Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa. Also present were Sen. Ajibola Basiru, National Secretary of the APC, and other party leaders.
