RMAFC Chairman Pledges Continued Dialogue with Civil Servants Union


Abuja: The Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Dr. Mohammed Shehu, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering strong dialogue and mutual respect with the National Union of Civil Servants (NCSU). This declaration came as he received an award from the union in Abuja, signifying his dedication to maintaining positive relations with the organization’s staff and management.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the award was presented to Dr. Shehu as ‘A Visionary Leader with Political Will,’ recognizing his distinguished leadership and the outstanding relationship he has cultivated with the union and its members. In his acceptance speech, Shehu emphasized his belief in open dialogue and mutual respect as the cornerstones of productive industrial relations, asserting that leadership should be grounded in sincerity and fairness.



Dr. Shehu highlighted the importance of listening to staff concerns and engaging constructively with the union from the beginning of his tenure. He noted that this approach has been instrumental in creating a peaceful and cooperative atmosphere within the commission. Drawing from his upbringing by a father who was both a civil servant and a community leader, he underscored the values of humility, service, and engagement in leadership.



Ganiyat Adeogun, the National Vice President of the NCSU, represented the union’s National Chairman, Mrs. Adoga Rufada, at the event. She commended the harmonious relationship between the chairman, management, and staff union, attributing it to purposeful, transparent, and people-centered leadership.



Mr. Gbenga Olowoyo, the union’s General Secretary, praised Dr. Shehu’s performance and commitment, stating that the National Executive appreciates his outstanding work. He expressed confidence that with this level of dedication, national honors are achievable. The award was described as a collective expression of gratitude from the National Federal Council and the Regional Legislative Units of the NCSU, celebrating the achievements under Shehu’s leadership.



Comrade Muhammed Enagi, Chairman of the RMAFC Chapter of the Nigeria Civil Service Union, committed to maintaining the harmonious working relationship between the chairman and the union. He conveyed optimism for greater success within the organization.



News Agency of Nigeria reports that the event concluded with a renewed call for continued collaboration between the union and the RMAFC leadership, emphasizing mutual trust, dialogue, and a shared commitment to institutional excellence. The ceremony saw participation from union executives across the national council, federal council, and commission chapters.
