Rollers– Chiefs humdinger on Sunday

| October 24, 2013

Township Rollers coach Madinda Ndlovu is a worried man as he prepares his charges to face defending champions and log leaders Mochudi Centre Chiefs in their first game of the be MOBILE Premier League on Sunday at Molepolole Sports complex. That does not suggest that Ndlovu has thrown in the towel. No, that one is unthinkable.

The Zimbabwean tactician’s concern is not because he is scared of the Kgatleng side that he helped win the league last season, but he is frustrated by the fact that his players lack oomph and tactical intelligence to stand the test of time.

Ndlovu’s frustration could be understood by any football follower who watched his last game against blood rivals Gaborone United which ended in a one-all stalemate after the latter equalised with only 25 seconds remaining thanks to a defensive lapse. A visibly upset Ndlovu could not hide his disillusionment, making it clear that his players lack mental intelligence as they could have died for the team by at least committing a professional foul as a way of buying time.

That is all history now and life has to go on…………
