Science and Technology Ministry Holds Fourth Conference (allAfrica.com)

The Ministry of Science and Technology will hold on 09-11 September, in Luanda, the Fourth National Conference on Science and Technology under the motto “Together in the reinforcement of the integration of science, technology and innovation in the country’s development strategy”.

According to a press note, which has reached ANGOP, the event is an opportunity for Angolan and foreign researchers, as well as players in the National System of Science and Technology to present the results of their researches and propitiate a discussion around the challenges of scientific research in Angola.

The event, reads the note, will take place in the ambit of the celebrations of the fortieth anniversary of Angola’s independence.

The conference, adds the note, will equally analyse the successful experiences of other countries.

ANGOP has learnt that about 300 people are expected to attend the event, some of whom are government officials, national and foreign specialists, representatives of the United Nations and European Union, teachers, students and potential investors.

The event is also expected to be attended by researchers from South Africa, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Spain, USA, France, Mozambique, Portugal and Zimbabwe.

On the same occasion and place it will be launched the Seventh Fair of Inventors and Creators of Angola (FEICA 2015), as well as other related events, such as the International Fair of Ideas, Inventions and Products Valorisation, plus the Science and Technology Fair.
