Titans Ignite Second Leg Spark

| January 19, 2015

An epic clash between Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Extension Gunners marks the start of the second leg on Friday January 17 evening at the National Stadium in a make or break encounter.

Magosi go into the game sitting on the second spot in the league, five points behind log leaders,Township Rollers. Gunners on the other side are on the sixth spot with 25 points from 15 games.

Magosi enter the field looking forward to consolidate a clean bill of health against the Peleng Boys following their first leg 2-0 away win last year.

Gunners, however, hope for sweet revenge against rivals that downed them in their own backyard.

Gunners’ gaffer Dragojlo Stanajolovic will also be aiming for a first win against his former employers.

Drago, who joined the Lobatse giants early last year, needs only a win to bring back the team’s hopes of finishing in the top four.

Gunners lost their last game before the break at the hands of BDF XI, and a loss is something they cannot afford.

On Saturday January 17, relegation threatened Ecco City Greens will host BDF XI at the Francistown Stadium.

Ecco, who have had their worst campaign in the premier league thus far, need a win to move away from the relegation zone.

A win at home would be a motivation for the players who drew their away match last year against Nico United in the final game of the first leg.

BDF XI is confident after their 2-0 win against Mapantsula in their last game. Matebele, who have failed to live up to their heroics last season, are sitting on the 4th spot with 28 points.

Another game will see third placed BMC host Nico United at the new Lobatse stadium at 4pm.

The Gaborone-based side will be looking for nothing but a win in order to keep up their race for the title.

Nico on the other hand need a win in order to move into the top 8 bracket before the end of the season.

The other game will see log leaders, Township Rollers face Police XI at Molepolole sports complex at 4pm.

The defending champions, who are yet to be beaten this season, have opened a five points lead at the top, and a win will keep up the pace at the top.

Motlhabankwe are on form and a team to beat.

Police XI who pulled up a good show against Rollers in the first leg with a 2-2 draw will be looking forward to improving their performance and register a win this time around.

In other games, Orapa United will host Letlapeng at Itekeng stadium while BR Highlanders will take on FC Satmos at Serowe Sports Complex.

On Sunday January 18 Sankoyo BushBucks will travel to Serowe sports Complex to face the struggling Motlakase Power Dynamos.

The other match will see a Gaborone derby between Notwane and Gaborone United at the SSKB stadium.
