The Win a Tractor Engen promotion came to an end this weekend with Ms Gothe Matlhware emerging a winner and walking away with a new Massey Ferguson tractor, planter and an agro master plough in Maun.

Speaking during official draw of the competition, Mr Bobby Tlhabiwe, the Engen retail manager said the competition started last year with six tractors won and four this year.

“The main aim of the competition is to empower Batswana as they can benefit from these tractors by ploughing their fields and be hired by other farmers through ISPAAD programmes,” said Mr Tlhabiwe.

He said people were only required to buy fuel at any Engen filling station for an amount of more than P200 and buy anything more than P60 in any Engen shops around the country and fill the entry form to stand a chance to win.

Mr Tlhabiwe said they had 10 finalists this month with only four women among them adding that the winner of the day was the only woman to win the competition since it began this year.

He said all of the 10 finalists were rewarded with P1 000 cash each to thank them for joining the competition, adding that the attendant who helped the winner at the filling station will win P1 000 cash. For her part, Ms Matlhware from Mahalapye said her victory comes at the right time since the ploughing season was just beginning.
