Lagos: The Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State has initiated a free tutorial program for 500 students preparing for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) under its ‘Kosofe Edu-Support’ initiative. The program aims to enhance the academic performance of the participants through structured classes.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the tutorials are scheduled to be held daily from 3.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m. Mr. Oluwole Obisanya, the Chief Press Secretary to the council chairman, Mr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, shared this information with NAN. Obisanya emphasized that the classes are designed to encourage the youth and others in the community, ensuring they not only receive the necessary forms but also excel in the examinations.
Obisanya urged the beneficiaries to fully utilize this opportunity. He mentioned that the initiative is part of the council’s broader efforts to support the educational advancement of students in the region. He said, “The Kosofe Edu-Support Initiative is a flagship programme of the Moyosore Ogunlewe administration.”
The initiative has received commendation from stakeholders for its positive impact on the educational development of students within the local government area. NAN highlights that this program is part of the council’s strategy to promote educational excellence and decrease the number of out-of-school children in the vicinity.
