Keana: Mr Mohammed Omadefu, a representative of Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has distributed 1,000 bags of fertilisers to farmers in his constituency. Omadefu made the distribution during an event in Keana, emphasizing that the initiative aims to enhance productivity and ensure food sufficiency both locally and across the state.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Omadefu urged farmers to use the fertilisers wisely to guarantee a substantial harvest, warning against selling them. He specified that each of the 10 electoral wards within the constituency would receive 10 bags of NPK 20:10:10 fertiliser as part of his third empowerment programme.
The lawmaker stated that this effort aligns with President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule’s strategies to revamp the agricultural sector and increase food production nationwide. Omadefu also highlighted his accomplishments in education, health, infrastructure, and employment within the constituency, pledging ongoing efforts to improve constituents’ living standards.
In his remarks, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, represented by Majority Leader Mr Suleiman Azara, praised Omadefu for his intervention projects and advised beneficiaries to avoid selling the fertilisers. Jatau encouraged support for Omadefu and the current government to achieve their objectives.
Alhaji Abdullahi Amegwa-Agbo, represented by Mr Boniface Alose, and Mr Adamu Aboki, represented by Deputy Mr Asabahiyu Sabo, expressed appreciation for Omadefu’s contributions. Beneficiary representative Mr Saudi Usman thanked the lawmaker and assured that the fertilisers would be used effectively, wishing Omadefu success in his future endeavors.
