Ndukuba’s Wife Encourages Nigerians to Trust in God’s Promises

Abuja: Mrs. Angela Ndukuba, wife of the Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), has urged Nigerians, particularly women, to maintain their faith in God, asserting that His promises are steadfast and unchanging. Ndukuba, who serves as the President of the Women’s Guild and Mothers’ Union of the Church, delivered this message during the 2025 Mother’s Union/Women’s Guild Annual Conference of the Diocese of Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ndukuba emphasized the conference theme, ‘Unchangeable Promises of God,’ drawn from Genesis 15:18 and Exodus 2:24, calling on Nigerians to uphold family values and remain committed to God amidst increasing uncertainty and skepticism. She highlighted the importance of this message in today’s world, where some perceive faith as a deception.

Ndukuba addressed the misconception that biblical teachings no longer apply, encouraging individuals to trust in God’s promises and replace fear with faith. She stressed the necessity of obedience to God’s words to benefit from the conference’s theme and urged women to instill this faith in their children.

She advised that children should be taught the consequences of disobedience to God’s covenant and promises, emphasizing that without such teachings, claiming these promises would be futile. Obedience to God’s commands, she explained, would lead to beneficial lives.

Ndukuba further explained that when children learn to obey their parents and avoid negative behaviors like theft and corruption, they become content with what they have. This, she added, would positively impact families and, by extension, the nation, since leaders emerge from these homes.

She concluded by affirming that understanding God as a promise-keeping deity who provides and heals would eliminate the need for self-reliance, ultimately benefiting both families and society.
