Nairobi: Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Ogamba Migosi has called upon the residents of Nyamira to back President William Ruto’s development initiatives, emphasizing that the President possesses a focused and visionary strategy aimed at elevating Kenya’s development.
According to Kenya News Agency, the CS made his appeal during a fundraising event for the construction of St. Partricks Nyansabwa Parish in Nyamira County. He noted that the Gusii community has been misled by divisive propaganda from politicians with selfish motives, who erroneously believe they can easily unseat the current administration.
CS Ogamba highlighted that the President has significant development plans for the Gusii community, warning against being swayed by politicians claiming government failure, despite visible ongoing development efforts. He emphasized that the Omogusii community is a primary beneficiary of the government’s agenda, citing appointments to key positions, including his own as Education Cabinet Secretary.
He further cautioned against leaders who distract the Gusii people, promising that those supporting the government will ensure the Abagusii community’s continued inclusion in governmental affairs. Ogamba affirmed that numerous development projects have been requested for the region, such as road construction, electrification, infrastructure improvements, and support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
West Mugirango Member of Parliament (MP) Stephen Mogaka pledged his unwavering support for the current government, recognized as the constitutionally elected authority responsible for national development. He confirmed the President’s commitment to tarmac the Bondeni-Magombo road, a vital link between West Mugirango and Kitutu Masaba constituencies.
The event also saw the attendance of prominent figures such as Kenya’s Solicitor General Sharak Mose, Nyamira County Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi, and Nominated Senator Essy Okenyuri. CS Ogamba delivered the President’s contribution of Sh2 million for the parish project.
