Paris: Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have signed a groundbreaking agreement that grants mobile-only broadcasting rights for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
According to African Press Organization, this agreement allows active users of the Max it super app to watch a curated selection of 35 matches live. The matches will be accessible across 13 Sub-Saharan African countries, including Burkina Faso, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau. The broadcast package includes all group-stage matches of the national teams from qualified Orange affiliates, as well as selected knockout stage fixtures, including the round of 16, quarter-finals, one semi-final, the third-place play-off, and the final.
The Max it super app, which integrates tele
communications, financial services, entertainment, and digital content, will host this new mobile-first coverage of African football. The app’s Max it TV universe aims to deliver a seamless and user-friendly viewing experience tailored to the African market. In addition to live broadcasts, OMEA will offer live programs before and after games, crafted by a team of specialists to provide in-depth content.
