Qingdao Showcases Investment Opportunities in Frankfurt Conference


Frankfurt: The ‘Qingdao Opportunities – Qingdao Business Environment Promotion Conference,’ organized by the Information Office of the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, was recently held in Frankfurt, Germany. This event aimed to present Qingdao’s business environment, industrial strengths, and investment prospects to a German audience, with the goal of attracting businesses, capital, and talent to the coastal city and promoting high-quality economic development.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ms. Fang Xinru, head of Chinese affairs for the city of Bingen, highlighted Qingdao’s strategic location with world-class ports connecting the Asia-Pacific and Europe. She detailed the city’s strong industrial base in home appliances, automobiles, and equipment manufacturing, along with its emerging strengths in artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, new energy, and new materials. Ms. Fang emphasized Qingdao as an attractive destination for investment and a promising area for sustainable development.



Attendees also viewed ‘Qingdao of China,’ a city promotional video produced by the Information Office of the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government. The video provided an overview of Qingdao’s geographical location, historical development, cultural heritage, economic achievements, and education system. It showcased the city’s red-roofed buildings, green trees, blue seas, and azure skies, underlining its appeal as a modern international metropolis.



Mr. Hseziyin Baraner, representing German entrepreneurs, expressed that the video and related materials enhanced his appreciation for Qingdao’s rich history and culture, while also revealing the city’s vibrant and youthful aspect. He advocated for deeper understanding between Chinese and German communities to encourage more German investment and business ventures in Qingdao.



Additionally, Ms. Hanna Kleber, a German tourism representative, shared her experiences of visiting Qingdao years ago. She remarked that the city has significantly modernized and grown, as depicted in the video, and expressed her desire to return soon to witness these changes firsthand.



The conference also included an exhibition of photographs showcasing Qingdao’s urban landscape, which sparked interest among attendees to visit Qingdao for inspection tours in the future.
