Tinubu’s Administration Enhances Infrastructure to Improve Lives of FCT Residents


Abuja: The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to improving the lives of residents within the FCT and across Nigeria. Wike made these remarks during the inauguration of the rehabilitation of the Old Keffi Road, stretching from Kado Village to Dei Dei in Abuja.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the rehabilitation project is a fulfillment of President Tinubu’s promise to the local traders and residents, highlighting the road’s significance to the community. Wike emphasized the transformative impact the completed road would have and noted the administration’s dedication to fostering positive change for both Nigerians and residents of Abuja. He mentioned that several projects have been inaugurated, with more scheduled in the coming days, and highlighted that a total of 27 projects are set for inauguration, marking a first in Abuja’s history under President Tinubu’s leadership.



Wike urged residents to support President Tinubu’s administration and the Abuja Municipal Area Council Chairman, Mr. Christopher Maikalangu, for addressing their needs. He stressed the importance of electing representatives who prioritize the needs of their constituents. Wike praised Maikalangu as a true representative committed to ensuring the fulfillment of promises made to the community.



FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, also commended President Tinubu for his ongoing support for infrastructure renewal and prioritizing impactful projects. Mahmoud described the road project as evidence of Tinubu’s vision to deliver infrastructure that enhances connectivity, accessibility, and economic growth in the FCT. She noted the road’s role in serving thousands of commuters daily, linking communities, reducing travel time, improving road safety, and stimulating socio-economic activities in the area.
